It refuses to guess.

Plenty of controllers can hold a temperature. Smart is what it declines to do. To our knowledge, nothing else in the paddock behaves like this:

Tread and rim each run their own measured channel and loop. No averages, ever. Power and heat are controlled to each channel individually.

The heat cycle isn't just a number. It's a programmed cycle — a start, a ramp, a soak, a hold, and a cooldown. A program profile. Heat by the numbers, with programmed cycles. A profile that breaks the tire maker's rules is rejected before it heats anything.

Ready isn't a light. A light says "I've reached the temperature." Ready is an accumulated target — the program has soaked the tire at temperature against the spec it was given. Ready means ready to perform.

Dive deeper — what "ready" actually means
The compound library carries the manufacturer's target and soak time for the tire you're running. Pick the compound and the program holds itself to those numbers. The soak clock counts only at temperature, pauses on any dip, and never resets — a generator hiccup at 8:15 can't hand you a tire that only looks ready. Rain tires get their own spec: manufacturers say rains don't need warmers, and most teams warm them anyway — low and gentle, for pliability and wet grip. That profile is in the library too.

The warmers wake in stages under a governed cap, so the breaker holds. A failing connection or voltage variance detected inside warmer six gets a name — "PIT 3 · REAR · RIM — E-04." Catch it before the session is lost.

Dive deeper — faults that stay small
The controller checks its own probes continuously through warm-up, hold, and cooldown. A sensor failing mid-soak is caught, not trusted. Faults are designed to stay small: the rim circuit that faulted stops, its E-code names the exact channel, and the tread beside it keeps heating. Alerts clear at the warmer with one press. If the same code fires again, that pattern is the diagnosis.
